As you may be aware there is an increased focus, nationally on improving access to appointments in GP surgeries. In line with the Government Primary Care recovery plan we are changing the way we manage our appointments.
From Tuesday 1st August 2023 all same day appointments will be released at 8am ONLY. These can be booked via our telephone lines. You will be able to request morning or afternoon appointments where they are available. Please note that our GPs have different working patterns, if you wish to book with a specific GP you will need to check with the Receptionist which days they are available.
We will no longer reserve the afternoon appointments to be released at 12pm.
Please provide our Receptionists with a brief description of why you need an appointment.
This information is key to ensuring we get the right care for your condition, in the most timely way.

From Tuesday 1st August 2023 we will be increasing the number of routine pre-bookable appointments we have available and making some available online.
In January of this year we moved away from telephone appointments and reintroduced face-to-face appointments. We also offered pre-bookable appointments. These appointments are released 7 days in advance on a rolling schedule. From August we are increasing the number of routine appointments and they will be available to book by phone or online via the NHS app with SystmOne online access.
We have also commissioned additional remote evening and Saturday appointments from a company called Livi, and routine face-to-face appointments on Saturdays from the Brunel group. These are being offered via the Reception Team. More information can be found on our website.
