BLOOD TESTS
-
Sue Blackburn
Our Phlebotomist is able
to take blood.
Unfortunately we are
unable
to take blood from
children under the age
of 16. The Phlebotomy
Department at the GWH
can no longer continue
to offer GP or INR
patients the use of
their facilities as an
alternative to attending
their
own surgeries. Provision
has been made to see
certain category of
patients (difficult to
bleed & paediatrics).
Please ring the
department
for an appointment – you
will need to take with
you a “difficult to
bleed” referral letter
from the nurse/GP. The
department is open from
08.30 am to 4.15 pm
Monday to Friday. The
telephone number to
ring, to obtain an
appointment, is (01793)
605041.
