Merchiston Surgery recognises the challenges faced by carers of those who are unwell. We encourage all such carers to be included on our carers register and encourage them to discuss any needs for themselves or those they care for with their registered GP.

the surgery and has been replaced by

New Telephone System
In order to improve access and
quality of service to patients we
now have an automated system when
ringing the surgery during opening
hours. It gives choices to:
a) Make request for home visit
b) Prescription
enquiries (not for dispensing
items, queries only)
c) Appointment
requests
We hope this saves
you time in accessing our services.
Breast Screening
If you are a lady
aged between 50-70 then you will
shortly be contacted by the Breast
Screening Service for screening.
Most clinics take place at the
surgery in the large mobile vehicle
parked outside but due to the large
number of patients some may be
requested to attend the Hospital for
an appointment. Attendance if
vitally important for your health.
