THE DOCTORS
- Dr Stephen Pigott
MB BS MRCS Eng LRCP London 1974
Steve joined the practice in
1979 and is the senior partner.
He is a GP trainer in the
practice.
He is the prescribing lead for
the practice.
- Dr Kathryn
Maitland-Ward MB BS DRCOG
MRCGP London 1981
Kathryn joined the practice in
1986, having been a Registrar
here and works closely with our
manager in running the Practice. Lead for Practice Based
Commissioning.
- Dr Simon
Newton MB BS DRCOG DCH
FRCGP London 1985
Simon joined the practice in
1991. He is the second GP
trainer in the practice as well
as the lead partner for IT. He
spends 2 days a week working for
the Deanery, managing GP
educational provision.
- Dr David
John BM DRCOG DCH MRCGP
DPD Southampton 1992
David joined the practice in
1997. He is the clinical
governance lead and currently
undertakes minor surgery at the
practice. Dr John holds a
diploma in Dermatology and
performs minor surgical
procedures and cryotherapy at
the practice.
- Dr Sue
Adams BM MRCGP
Southampton 1995
Sue joined the practice in 2002
after training here as a
Registrar.
- Dr Ian
Turner MB ChB DFFP MRCGP
Leicester 1999
Ian joined the practice in 2003
after training as a GP Registrar
here. He has responsibility for
liaising with external agencies
and linking with our extended
Primary Health Care team. He
covers the medical needs of one
of our local nursing homes and
is a full time partner at the
practice.
- Dr Kerrie
A E Wallis BMedSci BM BS
DRCOG MRCGP DipPallMed
Nottingham 1997
Kerrie joined Merchiston surgery
in 2004 having completed her
General Practice training in
Harrogate, North Yorkshire. She
is a GP Trainer and lead doctor
for the practice's nursing team.
She enjoys all aspects of
general practice, in particular
palliative care and women's
health.
- Dr Penny
Milsom MBBS, MRCGP, DFFP, DRCOG, DMH,
Newcastle Upon Tyne 1997
Penny joined the practice in
January 2009 as a salaried
doctor. She has worked as a GP
in Swindon over the last 4 years
after completing her training in
General Practice in Northern
Ireland.
- Dr Thilak MBBS, MRCGP - Kathmandu University 2002
Dr Thilak joined the practice in 2010 after training here as a registrar.
