We are participating in extended opening times to improve access to your GP. This includes providing appointments earlier in the morning and later in the evening on certain days. Please contact the practice for further details or click NHS Choices.

The telephone lines will be open between 8:00 am and 6:30 pm Weekdays.

We strongly suggest that you see the same Doctor whenever possible, as
it is helpful for both you and the Doctor to know each other well. We try
hard to keep our appointments running to time, and ask you to be punctual
to help us achieve this. If you cannot keep an appointment, for whatever
reason, please let us know as soon as you can, so that it can be allocated
to someone else. There is an answer phone facility to cancel
appointments outside of surgery hours.

Unless you are restricted by work commitments, try to avoid evening appointments, if possible. Each appointment is for one person only.

We are still working towards offering access to an appointment with a Doctor within 2 working days of your request. However, there will be times when we are unable to offer this service due to absence and illness. Please bear with us at these times which we hope to keep to a minimum.

MESSAGES

It is possible to leave a message for a Doctor on 823307. Please bear in mind that the Doctor may not be in Surgery on the day you leave the message. If appropriate a Doctor or a member of the Admin Team may call you back.

Please note that we encourage this service to be used for only important messages. It is not a service for requesting prescriptions or consultations with the doctor.

New Telephone System

In order to improve access and quality of service to patients we now have an automated system when ringing the surgery during opening hours. It gives choices to:

a) Make request for home visit

b) Prescription enquiries (not for dispensing items, queries only)

c) Appointment requests
